The
news of the devastating rains and floods that ravaged Pakistan made
world news.
We have had
prolonged and heavy rains and flooding which have taken their toll. The
houses of hundreds of poor Christians have been badly affected. Either
the roof has collapsed (see picture) or, in the case of houses made of
unbaked brick, the walls have collapsed.
To the north-west
and south of our Diocese, houses, cattle, crops and even roads have been
washed away. The government and big aid agencies and the EU, have been
in action. But the scattered Christians in our area have not be able to
benefit from this help.
I am, therefore,
appealing to you to help us in any way possible to rebuild our
“families' homes” Any help, big or small will be a big blessing for us.
