We have today received an emergency appeal from the Mill Hill Fathers in SINDH Catholic Diocese Pakistan

“Unfortunately the situation here in Sindh is very bad as it has been raining almost every day since August the 10th with the result that virtually all the crops have been destroyed, there is an awful lot of flooding.. People’s houses have collapsed and many are camping on the roads because their own place is standing under water. The area affected is about the whole of Sindh which means almost the Diocese. We are under about  4 ft of water in the compound. An awful lot of places are under water. Last year the floods affected Pakistan from the North to the South along the river Indus. This year it is only Sindh which is affected, not just along the river Indus, but more or less the whole of Sindh. This means for us in our tribal parishes that virtually all our parishioners are badly affected.., and the rural ones even more. It is an absolute mess. We are hesitant to ask you to help again this year but the situation is quite desperate “
