The Patsy Helm Memorial Hotel Training School was officially opened by Rev. Fr. Sylvester Dheyongera of the Diocese of Jinja  on 12th February 2010. The simple ceremony was attended by the founders of Women in Need (WIN), Fr. Alfonse Eppink and Ms. Tessa Sheaf.

The building was purchased and refurbished with a very substantial donation from Dr. Roger Helm and additional funding from SPICMA, Fr. Alfonse Eppink, Tessa Sheaf and many other friends and well wishers.

The building is a beautiful two storied house which has been converted to a Hotel and Restaurant training school for young disadvantaged women. It comprises a restaurant, bar, guest rooms, training kitchen, classroom, a dormitory for the resident trainees and admin offices.

The facility now employs an Administrator, Matron, two Instructors, a Bar & Restaurant Supervisor and a Security Guard. On 7th April the students reported for their first training session and were delighted with the facilities they have been given. In a gesture of thanksgiving, they will include in their prayers, the benefactors and friends at their Monday morning Assembly. We wish them every success in their endeavors.
