Sam has been associated with SPICMA for 40 years. Initially, and apart from his very successful fund raising activities, he was involved in packing sea containers with tools, furniture, medical and building equipment and supplies, that had been requested by St Joseph's Missionaries in Africa.

For the last twelve years of his working life, Sam was the MD of the Central Purchasing Company of Associated British Foods, one of the UK's largest food processors.

Sam is married to Anne and has two sons and a daughter. He has now assumed an administrative role in our Ware office, involved in processing donations on our database, printing and despatching leaflets for appeals.

In recognition of his dedication and commitment, Sam was presented with the  Papal Bene Merenti at a service on 21st January 2006
